3 reasons to eat flax seed

Flax seeds are often unfairly neglected in front of the chia seeds. Maybe this is because we are lazy to ground them before consuming what is otherwise the body can not extract anything from them and through us passing less intact.
Fibers
Looking at fiber needs in people aged 19 to 50, in men it is 38 grams a day, and in women 25. 15 grams of flax seed contains 4.1 grams of fiber which may not be much, but certainly contributes to the total sum.
Unsaturated fatty acids
15 grams of flax seed contains a total of 5.43 grams of unsaturated fatty acids where the most important omega-3 fatty acids are. We can get them so that we put in a spoon of flaxseed or chia seeds or twice a week put the blue fish in the menu.
Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)
This vitamin is responsible for normal functioning of the nervous system and is important for metabolism. The daily needs for an adult male are 1.2mg while for women 1.1mg. Our portion of flax seed contains 0.24mg which is 20% of daily needs!
