5 reasons to eat pumpkin seeds

Here are five main reasons why you should put pumpkin seeds into your daily diet! Let’s see how you can profit from 25 grams per day.
1. Fiber
The daily recommendation for a man (19-50 years) is 38 grams while for a female (19-50 years) 25 grams. The fibers, among other things, play an important role in the digestive system and contribute to a sense of satiety.
A small portion of our sample contains 4.6 grams of fiber!
2. Zinc
Zinc, among other things, is necessary for the functioning of more than 200 enzymes in our body, it is needed for the growth and development of new cells in the body, and plays an important role in prostate and fertility health. The daily needs of zinc for an adult are 11mg for men and 9mg for a female person.
A small portion of our sample contains as much as 2.6 mg of zinc!
3. Iron
Iron requirements vary from men to women so an adult male needs 8 mg whereas in women this amount is 18 mg. Iron deficiency is manifested in general fatigue, dizziness, pale skin color and weakness. The absorption of iron from plant sources is proportional to the amount of vitamin C so it is desirable to combine it if the iron is taken from plant sources.
A small portion of our sample contains as much as 0.83 mg of iron!
4. Variety of preparation
You can put the pumpkin seeds in the scrambled eggs, prepare them with various meat dishes, mushrooms or simply chop them into the salad. The 25 grams we’ve taken for example is really a small amount you will not notice in the meal and will be a valuable contribution to general health.
5. Essential amino acids
They contain all the essential amino acids that make them a complete plant protein source and are such a good choice for vegetarians and vegans, but consider that 25 grams of pumpkin seeds contain only 4.6 grams of protein. That is why there is a protein pumpkin powder containing about 60% protein per 100 grams and as such can serve as a good choice.
