Basil tea – health benefits and preparation

Basil tea is not something that is so popular as the basil itself, which we mostly use as a spice in salads, especially when it comes to tomato salad where it fits perfectly. Not so many people know about health benefits of basil and we believe that basil tea can offer lots of benefits for your body.

It is good in treatment of skin inflammation, green leaves are a natural antibiotic and can treat skin bacteria successfully.
It stimulates digestion, calms down the inflammation of the stomach and intestines, and is excellent for fart problems, specially after you eat tons of bean salad and just got ready for some fart contest.

In case you did not know, you can chew basil to calm down throat inflammation. Chew that basil like Clint Eastwood chewed tobacco in famous movie Pink Cadillac!
Basil tea – how to prepare
Preparation is simple as well as for every other beverage you prepare by using plants.
Put on a liter of hot water, two tablespoons of chopped basil leaves and leave it for about 10 minutes, drink it slowly, throughout the day.
Drink it troughout your day.
As we have already mentioned health beneftis, we can just say to drink it freely when you have trouble with digestion or sore throat, we believe it can only help you to get healthier and feel better.

There are 60 different species of basil and they are all look different and taste different.
The first written trail comes from Egypt (where would it come else than from Egypt) and is 4,000 years old. We’re not sure what exactly they were writing about, probably about his benefits to the body.
The name comes from the Greek basilikon which means royal, so if you didn’t know, soon you will be drinking a royal drink!
