Calories in one egg
Calories depends on the size, and most often we can find M sized eggs in the stores weighting from 53 to 63 grams, and we will take medium size of 60 grams for the calorie calculation.

It is important to say that egg has a complete amino acid profile, which means it contains all the essential amino acids. Egg yolk contains sulfur, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, iodine, copper, iron, choline, vitamins A, D and E, B12, B2, magnesium, potassium, riboflavin and niacin. You should definitely include this nutritiously rich food in your diet.
Salmonella in eggs
To overcome the fear of Salmonella Enteriditis bacteria, let’s look at some of the details below:
- The number of Salmonella bacteria in eggs is 10 to 100
- They are hard to develop at low temperatures – so eggs should be kept cold
- They are destroyed at high temperatures
If you eat raw eggs that were not in the fridge, which is by the way completely insane, there is little or no chance of getting infected with this bacterium.
Egg labels
In terms of cultivation, the eggs are divided into:
• 0 – eggs from ecological cultivation
• 1 egg from free cultivation
• 2 eggs from stalling (floor) cultivation
• 3 – eggs from cage (battery) cultivation
By size, eggs are divided into:
• XL – very large (weighing 73 g)
• L – large (63 – 73 g)
• M – medium (53 – 63 g)
• S – small (lighter than 53 g)
Cholesterol in eggs
For nearly 50 years, there is a myth dominating that eggs are directly affecting cholesterol growth, and even today most people mention cholesterol when you talk about egg intake. There is no solid evidence showing a direct impact on fat from eggs in cholesterol, and thus separating egg yolks has no sense.
