Why do we lose discipline after some time?

You finally decided to make a change on yourself and found a way to do it. Your health situation motivated you or you simply do not have the money for new clothes because you don’t fit in your own anymore.
>> How to appreciate the moment? <<
Most of people drops sweets from their diet and starts a certain type of group training, and some take a personal trainer who leads them through training and nutrition. You’re highly motivated, burning from desire to succeed. You will have everything you need to get to the desired state.
Couple of months passed by, starting progress is here.
Your desire is not so high anymore, discipline is low, you are not following your meal plan anymore and starting to miss your trainings.
Motivation to change
Motivation is enormous at the beginning, you have come to a point after which you no longer think and you know something needs to be done. You are ready to build a discipline and you do everything with no problem, because the desire to make any progress is stronger than anything and you are ready for everything.
Waiting for results.
You can’t wait for the first results, first mesaurements in size and kilos.
First results
You see the first results slowly, you are still motivated. You see that the thing works, it’s okay.
It looks like this is worth it. Objectively, these are the initial results where most of the loss of water was due to excessive intake of carbohydrates and calories. You are now in a calorie deficit, where you take less carbohydrates than before, and thus a smaller number of calories.
Caloric deficit does it’s job.
You are starting to be satisfied with the starting progress.
Accepting of results
This is also the main reason, you are subconsciously very happy with the initial result and that is it. You’ve made a move, you’ve achieved a goal, and you want to go back to the old, over-uncontrollable, because you had to control the amount of food you enter for three monts, you did it, you’ve seen some progress and you have your little goal acomplished.
You are satisfied.
And there is nothing bad here, so do not judge people who stop after three months. If you are one of those, it may be that you have enough amount of progress to feel better and more satisfied and you just do not need more.
It is OK, it is acceptable and it doesn’t have to mean anything bad.
It’s bad when you’re impatient and you give up after three months because you did not get the results you thought you’d get, and we’ll say more about it in some of the following articles.
